The Chafetz Chaim is most famously known for his sefer on Shmiras Halashon. The backbone of careful speech is bein adam lichavero—working on our interpersonal relationships to strengthen them. The Chafetz Chaim saw this lack, and strove to help fill the gap through teaching us how to use our speech positively, to engender love towards each other, and eradicate sinas chinam (baseless hatred). |
