Project Genesis
Series: Rabbi Josh Kohl
Born and raised on the beaches of Santa Barbara, California, the child of a University Dean and a renowned psychotherapist, Rabbi Josh Kohl has traveled a long way to where he is today as Rabbi of a congregation in Spring Valley, NY and Founder and Director of J-Family, the Jewish Family Enrichment Project. Along the way, he has touched the lives of Jews, from young to old, in cities around the world; from Budapest, Hungary, to Lowell, Massachussetts; from Dallas, Texas, to Los Angeles, California; with many stops in between. Rabbi Josh is a certified educator with the PAIRS Institute for Marriage Education as well as the National Director of To Kindle a Soul Parenting Seminars. He served as curriculum consultant for the parenting component of the National JCCA's award winning "An Ethical Start" early childhood education program, was Senior Lecturer for Aish HaTorah's Discovery Program in Jerusalem, Israel. Rabbi Kohl travels regularly throughout the tri-state area and across North America speaking to audiences of every age and background on a wide variety of topics. He openly shares his experiences exploring Judaism in his early adulthood, and brings the passion of discovery and a unique blend of mystical philosophy with practical personal growth to all of his presentations.
