Tefillah - Chayei Sarah - Mincha: Echoing Hashem's Will
Speaker:   Hauer, Rabbi Moshe
Series: Weekly Parsha Shiur, 5767: Tefillah
Lecture Details:  In Parshas Chayei Sarah, we learn about Yitzchak Avinu establishing the tefilah of mincha. We discuss the relationship between Yitzchak as the pillar of avodah being the one who established this afternoon prayer. There is a unique aspect to this tefilah of being answered before it is even uttered, as Yitzchak is the consummate servant of Hashem, who is completely given over to Hashem's will. This tefilah is specifically in the middle of the day, teaching us that all of our work is really part of our service of Hashem.
