In the third aliyah (section) of Parshas Vayakhel, Hashem fills Betzalel and his assistant Ahaliav with wisdom in order to oversee the construction of the mishkan. This was very unique partnership, as Betzalel came from the most elevated of the Shevatim, Yehuda, while Ahaliav was a member of Shevet Dan. the lowest of the Shevatim. While the Beis Hamikdash is in the tribe of Yehuda, the tribe of Dan housed a temple for Pesel Micha (the idol of Micha). Moshe did not act as a king while collecting the donations of the mishkan, but rather stopped Bnei Yisroel when they had given enough materials. These two important elements convey that the mishkan was a communal enterprise, meant to include all of the Klal Yisroel, enabling everyone to be invested to allow for the Shechinah (Divine Presence) to dwell in their midst.
