Although there are five terms of redemption in the Torah, we only drink four cups of wine and omit the last term about Hashem bringing us into Eretz Yisrael. When reciting the Haggadah, we also omit the words from the Torah regarding going into the holy land. Going to Eretz Yisrael was really the first reason why Hashem took the Jewish nation out of Egypt, so why is that omitted at the seder? Leaving Egypt and entering Eretz Yisrael was supposed to be one package, one event. However, it was broken when the Jews cried in the desert and did not want to go into Eretz Yisrael after sending the spies. That crying tore the package and made it possible to have a nation without the land being permanent. The second part of Hashem’s original promise to take the Jews out of Egypt was for them to become Hashem's servants by receiving the Torah. That event did take place and is bound with the redemption from Egypt as is seen from the reading of the Haggadah and specific laws of Pesach. |
