As we come closer to Kabbalas Hatorah, we continue to discuss different elements that distinguish man from animal. One of the most famous distinctions is man's power of speech. This tool of communication can be used to build and accomplish together with others. Not only do we use the ability to speak, we also realize the tremendous importance of listening as a critical aspect of communication. When we speak about aspirations and are careful to listen to each other, we elevate ourselves, becoming more refined human beings who can accept the Torah. |
