The success of much modern outreach is often measured by numbers. This means that the opportunity to develop individualized and meaningful relationships with mekurovim is limited. But without doing so, we may be profoundly neglecting their real spiritual needs in favour of meeting our own targets. In this talk, Rabbi Belovski will suggest that this trend can only be reversed through old-fashioned rabbonus, which facilitates, rather than prescribes religious growth.
