"Love is blind" goes the expression. Emotions can and do tend to cloud clear logical thinking. But that is only because we are human and subject to human frailties (read: limitations). But surely Hashem - The Supreme Judge - cannot be compromised by emotions, nor any foreign influence for that matter.
“For Hashem your G-d is the G-d of all power, and Master of all masters, the great, mighty, and awesome G-d who shows no favoritism ("lo yisa panim") and takes no bribes.” (Devarim10:17)
Is it comprehensible or even fathomable to contemplate, let alone contend, that on one specific occasion Hashem did indeed knowingly look the other way, in abject disregard for His otherwise non-subjective, incorruptible, Attribute of Divine Justice?! |
