Tu B'Av is the beginning of the reconstruction process, rebuilding what we lost with the sin of the meraglim of Tisha B'Av. It is a day of healing, starting the process of teshuva that culminates on Yom Kippur. This day was traditionally celebrated with matchmaking-building Jewish homes-which is a micro manifestation of Hashem's presence in this world. The Beis Hamikdash, which is the macro manifestation of Hashem's presence, starts to be rebuilt through this process, and through the day of Tu B'Av. |
