We continue our discussion about the Imahos with a closer look at Sarah Imeinu and her different names. She was called Yiskah before she was married, a reference to the ruach hakodesh (Divine Inspiration) that she had, which was not connected to Avraham Avinu. After her marriage, she was called Sarai, noting her nobility which became greater through her connection to Avraham. When Avraham's name was changed, by default Sarah's was as well, as she was his partner in his life's work, connected through marriage. |
