In our roles as teachers, counselors and confidants, it’s not uncommon to find ourselves in potentially problematic tznius related circumstances.
Virtually everything we do, from fundraising to teaching, to family guidance is about personal relationships. And, the stronger the relationships we build, the more likely we are of being effective, and being mashpia. Inevitably we find ourselves in situations that have the potential to become problematic. How do we balance the imperative of relationship building, or the need for discreet communication about personal and family issues, with the absolute necessity absolute necessity of maintaining the highest standards of propriety? The answer is, it’s not always easy. This open and frank discussion will address halachic and hashkafa issues related to common situations you and others personally encounter. |
