We explore the idea of bris in the parsha and learn how it relates to Channukah. A bris is a bond that must not be broken; however, there are also relationships that cannot be made and must be broken. It is important to differentiate whom it is appropriate to have a bris with. One aspect of what we celebrate on Channukah is the boundaries that exist to ensure that what is outside of the walls, the bris, stays out and what is inside remains inside. |
