In the first part of this four part series, we discuss brachos that we say for different pleasures. Saying these brachos is the recipe for yiras shamayim, as we recognize that Hashem is our G-d, King of the entire universe, to Whom we owe our very existence. A focused bracha is an expression and development of yiras shamayim, which is the predecessor to all chochmah (wisdom). If a person focuses on saying one bracha a day properly, they can work on increasing this critical middah. |
