Tefillah - Tazria/Metzora - Speech: The Language of Relationship
Speaker:   Hauer, Rabbi Moshe
Series: Weekly Parsha Shiur, 5767: Tefillah
Lecture Details:  Our power of speech is a very powerful tool; one that is meant to be used to forge connections and relationships. When it is used properly, creating unity and togetherness, one's tefillah, as part of the community, can be effective. However, if one misuses his power of speech, as the metzora (leper) does, his prays cannot be effective. He has removed himself from the community and used his speech destructively; therefore, he cannot access the connection of the community that positive speech can generate.
