The land of Israel was promised to each of the patriarchs on three separate occasions in the Torah. This class explores the three dimensions of the land of Israel given to the Jewish people via Avraham, Yitzchak and Yaakov. It also explores Avimelech’s relationship with Avraham versus Yitzchak, and what Be’er Sheva (a name given both by Avraham and Yitzchak) teaches us about the Jewish people’s relationship to the land of Israel then and throughout Jewish History.
