14 - Yisro - Hashem's Proposal to His Chosen People- 4th Aliyah
Speaker:   Hauer, Rabbi Moshe
Series: Weekly Parsha Shiur, 5773 - Parsha Plan
Lecture Details:  In the 4th aliyah (section) of Parshas Yisro, Hashem asks the Jewish people if they will agree to become His people. The fact that it is posed as a question implies that there is a possibility to say no! Although there is no question that we would be obligated to serve Hashem, His proposal offered a much deeper, more significant connection. When we chose to accept that, we agreed to engage in a meaningful relationship, with equal opportunities for deeper connection and conversely, betrayal.
