Lecture Details: |
We continue our studies in the Be'er Hagolah, the Maharal's classic work explaining the approach to understanding the methodology and the teachings of Chazal. We learn about the fences and safeguards that Chazal establish around the mitzvos of the Torah. The fences are like protective structures for the limbs that are the mitzvos, enabling them to stay safe and whole. The Maharal explains why this does not fall under the prohibition of bal tosif, not adding to the Torah. |
