There is much to learn from Parshas Noach as we continue to explore the theme of Darchei Noam. Before the mabul that destroyed the entire world, at least one third of the world was destroyed by a flood in the days of Enosh. However, this story is only made known to us through midrashim, and does not seem to have as much importance. Although the people in Enosh’s generation served idols, their interpersonal relationships were good. In the times of the mabul, the fighting and stealing is what sealed their fate, not the idol worship and immorality. This emphasizes the importance of peace and being together as one unit, which is critical in order to get the world back to how it was in Gan Eden, when Adam was the single unit of all mankind.
