As the leader of the women and their teacher of Torah, Miriam characterizes the strength and emunah (faith) that the Jewish women had in Mitzrayim. Because of her nevuah (prophecy) and strong faith, she encouraged her father Amram to remarry Yocheved, thus playing an important role in the birth of Moshe. She led the women with her optimism, sense of possibility and renewal, providing them with the strength to continue and tools that would help them merit the redemption. |
