Parshas Vayakhel\Pikudei\Hachodesh - The Temple and the Home
Speaker:   Hauer, Rabbi Moshe
Series: Weekly Parsha Shiur, 5769
Lecture Details:  The building of the Mishkan (temple) is included in Sefer Shemos, the Book of Exodus, since it is a completion of the redemption. Being redeemed means being restored to where the Jews were before they went down to Egypt, with Hashem's presence over the individual tents of the forefathers. Having Hashem’s presence in the Mishkan can be seen as either a step up or a step down from the forefathers' level. By having Hashem in each of our individual homes or by seeing the cohesion of the Jewish nation through having the Temple, that is the ultimate goal and the final stage of redemption.
