The creation of man is only complete through the giving of the Torah. A human being without that connection to Torah is like an animal. The soul is a divine piece which makes the human fundamentally different than the animals. Tzaraas is an impurity related to the power of speech which is the distinguishing factor of a human being. The power of speech is the most direct intersection between the physical body and the spiritual soul with which a human is made up of. |
