One aspect of mentioning our redemtion right before we pray is to remind us that the reason we were redeemed was to become the servants of Hashem.Avraham Avinu thought that all people are able to be divinely inspired; however, he learned through the people of Sodom that this is not the case. This resulted in his children being enslaved for 210 years in Mitzrayim, a country of people who do not inspire and cannot be inspired. There are many times in life when we don't have that feeling of inspiration and those are the times when we must remember that we still carry the responsibility to serve Hashem. |
