The world seems poised on the precipice of a potential nuclear war - brought about by a modern day Haman / Hitler, a madman bent on destroying the Jewish People and with whom the rational world finds it impossible to reason with! But this is nothing new. Every year in the Hagadah we exclaim our gratitude to Hashem: "In every generation they rise up against us to destroy us and Hakadosh Baruch Hu saves us from their hand!"
But we know the redemption from Mitzrayim was not just because it was "the right time" - it was in fact early - a direct result of Klal Yisroel's actively bringing about the redemption - a quid pro quo! What was the secret the generation of Egypt knew to actualize the power and period of redemption - to bring about the necessary attribute of Hashem's Kindliness and Compassion for Him to desire to bring about the Geulah for His children at that time?
What can we do today to renew and bring about again His compassion for us? |
