Hashem helped the Jews in their re-commitment to Torah ideals and granted them victory over the Assyrian Greeks. They were now able to purify and re-establish service in the Beis Hamikdash.
We are all familiar with the miracle of the oil, an amount that could only last for one day burned for 8 days.
But why was this miracle necessary? There are in fact a number of reason that they did not need this miracle at all. Indeed if it was a sign, an indication of Hashem being pleased with their rededication - why did He choose to manifest that demonstration thru a miracle in oil more than any other facet of the Avodah?
