Our sages teach us that the Kohanim would lift up the Shulchan (the golden table in the sanctuary) for all to behold the great miracle of the Lechem Hapanim - the show breads. All of the people would see the great miracle that that even nine days after the breads were baked they were still warm, fresh and moist! Yet the blasphemer mocked the showbread as disrespectfully presenting to the king of kings old stale bread!
Why did he not see the great miracle that all beheld of their maintained freshness, as was so evident to all who observed?
More so, for whatever reason he did not perceive this miracle, why was he considered blameworthy for his innocent protest in honor of the Almighty? |
