Hashem tells Avrohom to travel, leaving his country, birthplace and his father's home.
One wonders why Hashem did not reveal to Avrohom the ultimate destination at which He wanted him to arrive.
Additionally, Avrohom's departure progression would find him first leaving his father's home, continuing on from his birthplace and finally leaving his country of origin. Yet Hashem's mitzvah to Avrohom was to depart in the reverse order - "country, birthplace and (finally) fathers home". |
