The garments for the Kohen were created l'chavod u'lisifares (for honor and for glory). This does not just refer to the appearance of the Kohen; rather, these descriptions are also expressions used for the presence of Hashem. The vestments of the Kohen have the ability to bring the presence of Hashem around the Kohen, so that His Shechinah (presence) is not only resting in the mishkan, but on the Kohen himself. Throughout Megillas Esther, Hashem's name is not revealed, but His presence is expressed through people and situations. If we act like Aharon, working to bring Bnei Yisroel together, we can merit having Hashem's presence expressed through us. |
