We continue learning about the parsha through the framework of Darchei Noam, exploring kindness and goodness as they are manifest in the parsha. It seems that in Parshas Toldos Yaakov is acting in a way that is lying and deceitful, not kind and good! However, we explore the difference between "Jewish chessed" and the kindness of the nations of the world. Our chessed is in line with the Olam Haemes(the World to Come-lit. World of Truth), and at certain times may seem to have improper means which lead to the correct end. This is opposed to the nations of the world, who are limited to this world and do not have the full understanding of proper chessed and connection to Hashem.
