Lecture Details: |
Parshas Ki Seitzei contains many mitzvos, all of which have an inherent value in improving a human being. We do not do mitzvos because Hashem needs us to accomplish certain things on His behalf; rather, He gave us the mitzvos in order to make us into better people. Rosh Hashana is the anniversary of the creation of man, when Hashem blew a neshama into us. All of the mitzvos that we do are in order to refine our Tzelem Elokim, to make us in the image of G-d, enabling us to become great. |
