In the third aliyah of Parshas Vayishlach, the sun rose for Yaakov in order to heal his
injury from the battle with the malach. The same sun that can do good for the righteous is harmful for the wicked-whatever is good for Yaakov will be detrimental to Eisav. However, in our world, where the presence of Hashem is covered, it is dark or light for everyone simultaneously. We daven for the time when the new light of the presence of Hashem will shine on the world. |
