Before Krias Yam Suf, Bnei Yisroel cry out to Hashem and they complain to Moshe. We also see that Moshe cries out to Hashem. Hashem seems to stop both of these tefillos, which is difficult to understand. When we are going through something difficult isn't that what we are supposed to do? The language used here is vatitzak, screaming out, which connotes desperation. After Krias Yam Suf, their tefillah was a completely different type of prayer, as they were davening with confidence in Hashem. They recognized that Hashem's tremendous kindness was out of His love for us. Davening from confidence is a whisper from your neshama, communicating directly with Hashem, with the utmost belief in His care and His abilities. |
