The third aliyah (section) discusses the prohibition of bringing an animal with a blemish as a sacrifice. When a person does something which they value, he wants it to be done perfectly. Although Hashem is not clearly in front of us and we do not see the fire descend from heaven to accept our sacrifices and our prayers, we need to realize that Hashem is listening and accepting and then we will do this avodah (worship) perfectly as we will truly value it. |
