In the third aliyah of Parshas Ki Savo, there is a mutual acceptance between Hashem and Bnei Yisroel. We accept Hashem as the only force in our lives, and Hashem accepts us a His treasured, chosen nation. Since Hashem does not lack anything, it is difficult to understand this parallel. Although we cannot say that He relies on us in the complete sense that we depend on Him, Hashem completely depends on Bnei Yisroel in order to have His presence revealed in the world. It is our ultimate job and mission to spread His name and let His glory be revealed on this earth. |
